Oversees and directs the daily operations of the Medical Centers' and Clinics' Human Resources departments. Provides supervision, support, and guidance to HR staff. Collaborates closely with Administration to stay informed about sensitive and confidential information.
Involved in Texas Employment Commission hearings, addressing employee grievances, and managing disciplinary issues. Continuously evaluates job duties of all staff members to ensure peak efficiency and productivity. Develops department goals and objectives while establishing and implementing policies and procedures for operational success.
Leads the development, design, implementation, and administration of facility policies, programs, and initiatives within the Hospital. Ensures compliance with directives and expectations set forth by corporate CHS Human Resources. Conducts timely exit interviews and analyzes feedback to enhance employee retention at the hospital.
Executes the new hire process efficiently, overseeing background checks, initial competencies, employment screenings, and forms completion through orientation. Monitors and ensures accurate completion of required paperwork, including Personnel Action Forms and Corporate forms, to support payroll transactions. Administers benefit programs by assisting employees in benefit enrollment, selection, and utilization (i.e., flexible benefits, workers' compensation, FMLA, 401k, unemployment compensation, vacation, sick leave, etc.) in accordance with legal and policy guidelines.
Coordinates employee events and provides services for staff through the HR department. Organizes annual events to recognize and celebrate employee contributions. Maintains a positive impact on employee turnover, aligning with CHS and facility goals.
Coordinates employee satisfaction surveys and addresses employee concerns throughout the year to improve retention. Researches, proposes, and maintains a competitive wage and salary/compensation program within corporate guidelines while addressing the needs of the hospital, employees, and market conditions.
