Venezuelan state-own national oil company, considered among the largest in the world, with a total net production of around 3 million barrels a day of crude oil, where I developed a career within the Gas Plants Department of the Western Division, which has more than 120 offshore gas compressing units.

Operation

Supervisor with high standards of efficiency managed the whole western division of gas gathering and distribution system in order to provide reliable gas supply to the oil production system. Operations were run 24 hours a day from a totally automated Operations Center, which, by use of a SCADA system, allowed to monitor and control plant and pipelines parameters. The compression system included over 120 compression units and more than 3000 miles of pipelines.

• As an operator of the Automated Operations Center, use SCADA systems, PLC, and computer-based systems to monitor and analyze gas compression plants parameters and distribute available high-pressure gas to satisfy demands for every customer.
• Recorded plants parameters information and provided higher levels of adequate reports.
• Responsible for managing Emergency Plans and Contingency Response during the shift.
• Operated and maintained equipment related to gas compression and refrigeration plants, which include gas generators, turbines, compressors, scrubbers, vessels, heat exchangers, pipelines, electrical motors, pumps, and others.
• I have work experience with GE and Allan Bradley control systems.
• Experience with Copper-Bessemer and Dresser gas compressor and power turbines and Rolls Royce Avon101 and RB211 GG.
• Experience in plant overhaul, per-start-up, and start-up protocols.
• Thorough knowledge of gas refrigeration, dehydration, and LGN production.
• On site supervision of construction, commissioning and startup of a 12,000-bpd liquid gas plant
