My name is Chris Liazos, and I am deeply passionate about conservation biology across family forest landscapes. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Environmental Studies with a focus on Conservation Biology at Antioch University New England, where I conduct research on family forests supported by NRCS Conservation Stewardship Program. With a background in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology from the University of Vermont, I bring expertise in forest management, habitat restoration, and biodiversity monitoring.
I have extensive experience in environmental education, research, and property stewardship. From managing Glover's Ledge, an 80-acre educational forest property, to working as a forestry intern at the Harris Center, I aim to integrate scientific research with practical land management practices. My work includes developing forest managment plans, conducting bird surveys, and supporting forest landowners through conservation initiatives.
When I’m not in the field, I enjoy leading birding programs, implementing pollinator workshops, and developing innovative approaches to bridge the gap between conservation and stewardship.
