Chris Ruiz

Hello my name is Chris Ruiz, I‘m currently 21 years old. My passion is to help others in need and I just loved learning about the process of phlebotomy. I also recently earned my Phlebotomist certification after completing the program.

Additionally, I passed my NHA certification to becoming a Phlebotomist! I’m currently enrolled in college to pursue my associate degree in Biological Science this upcoming year! Not only that, I’m going to pursue a career into a nursing program to become a RN in the near future.

After starting the phlebotomy program, I fell in love with the medical field and enjoyed learning every aspect I had. I’m very determined to pursue a career in which I love and to gain more experience in. I‘m very excited for what the future will hold for me in this field!

During my phlebotomy internship, I was sent to the Sharp rees-stealy clinic in which for one month, I perfected my venipuncture and capillary procedures! During that time I also learned how to handle and process each specimen with care and accuracy! Not only that I also learned useful techniques and different ways to approach each patient and specimens I came in contact with. It was a wonderful experience and I hope more to come!

I am currently working on obtaining my associate degree in Biological Scwince at Grossmont college. In addition, I also worked my way to get CPT Certified after completing a 6 month phlebotomy program.
