Chris Sloan

I have many years of experience in management. I have managed Boston Market right out of high school to work through college. Then I decided to work in manufacturing and that college was not for me, and that I needed to focus on my career.

I ended up operating German lasers for companies like Gestamp and RCO Engineering to produce prototype and production parts. My hard work lead me to become the night supervisor for the laser department for RCO in Roseville, Mi. Eventually I moved to Texas, in 2021, out of personal preference.

Here I have managed restaurant kitchens and a local store, before deciding to enter the lumber field. Now I operate a forklift and loads hundreds of thousands of pounds of lumber onto semi trucks every day. Now I am looking to take my career in the management direction again, and I feel like I just need one good opportunity.

I like my current work but they have promised me other positions and broken those promises. I am currently seeing what is out there while continuing to be proud at what I do for 84 Lumber here in Denton, Texas.
