Christian Armstrong is a driven and highly skilled professional with a diverse background in data science, geospatial analysis, and business strategy. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Data Science with a concentration in Finance at the University of Houston-Downtown, Christian brings a robust technical skill set, complemented by hands-on experience in both public and private sectors.
Christian has honed expertise in machine learning, SQL, Python, R, geospatial analysis, database design, and exploratory data analysis, along with a strong foundation in product management, leadership, and public speaking. Certifications in Data Science (Python and R) and SQL Server Development further underscore his technical proficiency.
During his recent tenure as a Geospatial Analysis Intern with the Department of Defense, Christian innovatively contributed to an ERDC application by developing a preview window using ArcGIS layers. His role at TE Connectivity as a Cost Modeling Intern highlighted his analytical capabilities, from creating automated financial tools in Excel and Python to contributing to negotiations and client meetings.
Christian’s commitment to impactful data solutions is evident in his work at USA Triathlon and Data Justice Academy, where he optimized business operations, designed dashboards, built predictive analytic models, and mapped opioid treatment resources using advanced statistical techniques.
