Looking to obtain a full time position as an RN. I have 20+ years experience in the medical field, 2 years as an RN, 4 years as an LVN, 16 years as a CNA, and looking forward to gaining more knowledge and experience as a Registered Nurse. As an RN, I am able to educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, collaborate with the health care team while planning care using the nursing process, utilize critical thinking skills, independent judgment, all while demonstrating confidence and professionalism.

Planning care utilizing the nursing process, collaborating with the medical team such as physicians, pharmacist, labs, floor nurses, charge nurses, case management, and social workers. Delegating tasks appropriately within scope of practice, Education to both patients and families, participate in discharge planning, utilize critical thinking skills, independent judgment, while demonstrating confidence and professionalism. By day 3, I was providing full care to four patients including documentation, assessments, pre op and post op cardiac surgery care, telemetry strip reading, neuro assessments, medication passes (including IV drips), blood transfusions, assist with dialysis nurse, JP drains, blood sugars, discharges and admits with only supervision of my orientation preceptor, and by my 5th day of orientation I was taking assignments, and managing all care on my own without supervision, all while being a new grad.
