I am currently a Skill Building Learning Manager for the nonprofit, Big Thought, where I am responsible for developing our classroom curriculum and managing our teachers. During this time, I have created a variety of learning materials such as a Skill Building Workbook, SEL worksheets, powerpoints, teaching guides, and instructional animated videos. As well, I am the primary instructor of a Visual Arts classroom. I have 3 years of education experience working with 6th-12th grade in FWISD.
As an educator and curriculum designer, I understand the importance of communication and clarity. While teaching, I worked with students from first year to fourth year level, ages ranging from 10-60+ and understood that each individual learns differently. I value diversity and recognize that all students come from a variety of cultural, socio-economic, religious, and racial backgrounds.
