Aspiring Genetic Counselor
Send a job offer directly to this candidate
I have had a passion for genetics since my youth, due to my diagnosis of a genetic condition at birth. I was constantly in and around genetics and client-facing medical spheres, which led me to the field of genetic counseling. Since then, I have oriented my in-school education and extracurricular activities around genetic counseling, having shadowed for a counselor at New Jersey Perinatal Associates and participated in the Genetic Counseling Club at the University of Pittsburgh.
Through my graduate education, I have completed 4 clinical rotations across a variety of specialties and appeared as a guest on the DNAToday podcast. I hope to be able to give patients the same level of attention and care as I received in my youth, and to give their families the best experience regardless of their life circumstances.
I have completed several clinical rotations through my education that have allowed me to build my skills in a counseling session. I have also worked extensively with children of various ages and ability levels, explaining complex topics and aiding in crises.
Masters in Human Genetics acquired from Sarah Lawrence College in May, 2025.
