Cloe Gentile

I have a Master's degree in Musicology and I am completing a Ph.D. in June 2023. My work centers on Latinx popular music and media from a queer feminist lens. It interrogates anti-Blackness and Indigenous erasure in Latinx culture, and celebrates artistic practices of resistance, inclusive of fashion, dance, and music-making.

I am an educator having taught students ages 5-65 at a collegiate level (at UC Santa Barbara) as well as within non-profits and community centers (Writopia Lab and the LGBT Center of New York City). I am an artist, educator, scholar, and activist.
