Craig Latimer

Craig Latimer is a graduate of Texas A&M University's geosciences college, a member of several geoscience and engineering professional societies and presently serves as a technical advisor for Halliburton's oil and gas consulting services. Craig possesses more than 35 years of global experience in the oil and gas industry with a professional background in field and remote surveillance for well construction along with reservoir, field, and basin level petroleum geomechanics modeling. In addition, Craig has worked in a supervisory capacity as a field supervisor of wellsite geological services and currently manages a consulting geomechanics practice with Halliburton's North American Technical Team Carbon Capture and Underground Storage business.

Craig's geographic experience involves ranges from continental United States to offshore Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, East Africa, North Sea, Continental Europe, USA, Bay of Bengal, Eastern Mexico and the Sakhalin District of The Russian Federation. • Managing, mentoring, developing one employee under my direction where our specific responsibility involved carrying out and managing the deliverable with respect to a 36 well backlog of data mining deliverable, and following through with 15 additional wells.
• Collaboration with CoPNO overburden team: primarily delivered a postmortem geomechanical analysis of 18 wells delivered in late 2012 to present time that supported calibration of the client's 3D Field wide FEM model. In addition, completed analysis of at least 4 trouble cases related to geomechanical caused NPT and carried out analysis of minifrac tests associated with two CRI wells.
• LOT analysis project: instituted a comprehensive real-time pressure integrity test analysis involving 37 LOT/FIT in CoPNO Eldfisk and Ekofisk fields drilled in 2013, delivering requisite reports on a 24/7 basis (including late nights and weekends). Real-Time Geomechanics Field Professional - Halliburton Consulting

• Pre-drill geomechanics feasibility: Familiarize with the drilling program, pre-drill pore pressure prediction, structural geology and alternative pressure generation mechanisms which may be present. Meet appropriate client personnel and attend pre-spud meeting if possible.
• Load results of initial analysis into well-site (real-time) software. CLIENT DE & Analyst, make arrangements for location at wellsite close to LWD and Mud Logging.
• Established real-time WITS connections between well-site computers, LWD tools and any other streaming data source such as mud logging data (Gas, ROP etc...).
• Ensure connectivity exists to send/receive e-mail for communication and support.

• Gather and summarize all other relevant pore pressure indicators (background vs. connection gas, ROP, caving, etc.) to support the pore pressure models.
• Gather and summarize all indicators of fluid losses and determine from LWD (if possible) where the losses are occurring, and the mechanism of losses. This data is used to calibrate the fracture gradient model.
• Using ESD and ECD, inform drilling supervisor if wellbore pressure is outside the PP-SFP-FG window in the open hole.
• Monitor wellbore stability at shakers. Diagnose caving (if present) and recommend corresponding remedial action. Photograph caving and send to client representative.
• Issue periodic summary report to drilling and sub-surface team once a day or as often as required to communicate all relevant pressure management information to meet requirements of the client's drilling team.
• Attend calls to shore-based client's drilling and sub-surface teams (e.g. morning call) or at an agreed upon time as specified by the client.
• Update pressure models as new information (MDTs, RFTs, WL data etc.) becomes available. Any and all changes to the models, for calibration purposes, should be reviewed and approved by the drilling engineer before publishing a report on Pp estimations for a project.
• Analyzed LOT's and summarized interpretation. Update Fracture Gradient model. Ensure all latest model updates and interpretations are communicated on the rig to the drilling foreman and office personnel including client DE and Superintendent.
