I am a nonprofit grant writer with 3 years of experience. I am dedicated to helping underserved communities meet their most basic needs.
I am a grant writer located in Atlanta, Georgia. I have nearly 3 years of successful proposal, LOI, and RFP experience and have a graduate certificate in grant writing from Kennesaw State University, as well as numerous additional certificates. I am passionate about nonprofit work and have a particular interest in food and resource justice.
I am a Gender Studies Master’s graduate, with a concentration in social representation, feminist discourse, and media analysis. I received my undergraduate degree from Georgia State University in psychology and sociology, focusing on statistical analysis of women’s experience of public harassment on college campuses and implicit attitudes concerning race and ethnicity among undergraduate students. My research interests include media and gender representation, analysis of women’s experiences in public spaces, and the intersectionality of gender, race, sexual orientation in feminist and popular discourse.
Throughout my undergraduate and graduate programs, I wrote lengthy essays and articles about a wide variety of the social realities that women face on a daily basis. Writing has always been a true passion for me; I believe it has helped shape that person that I am today. During my graduate studies, I acted as the graduate research assistant to the director of the gender studies department of GSU.
My duties included gathering and maintaining all of the director’s research material to be used for future publications, editing her manuscripts, and acting as GRA department administrative coordinator. I was also responsible for creating and editing our department’s quarterly newsletter, as well as maintaining portions of the GSU Gender Studies website. Most recently, I graduated with a nonprofit grant writing certificate from KSU in 2021.
