Tier 1 Ambassador - Amazon - Nashville, TN
(2024-10)
SSD Field-VAR, L1 Ambassador. Floater position shifting across multiple departments including problem solving, floor monitoring, inventory management, and hazardous waste processing.
- Problem solving involves specific exceptions such as package repair, label & barcode issues, inventory corrections, redirecting misrouted packages that can halt from being shipped and sorted normally. The use of applications like FCresearch, Move items, Edit items, Sideline, Amazon printmon, Sim ticketing, etc to locate the problem and rework these packages effectively putting them back into inventory for customer efficiency.
- Amnesty Floor Monitor is responsible for entering the Amazon Robotics floor which is a specialized role restricted from those who are not FAST/ UP (Universal Procedures) certified. The app MMA (Mobile Maintenance Application) helps with floor navigation by allowing us to view the Robotics floor while live. Responsibility is to clear equipment jams, troubleshoot drive errors, and retrieve fallen items (Amnesty) from the AR floor for safety and operational security.
- To be tasked to Stow (Inbound) at a Universal Station is to add inventory into the Pods by the use of scanners and the Nike Stow app. It allows customers to view and purchase a variety of items Amazon has to offer.
- Pick to Rebin (Outbound) is the opposite of stow and instead we collect customer orders from the Pods, into the chutes for the Packers and on to the conveyor to Dispatch.
- There is a department in the Amazon Warehouse where it processes Hazardous Waste. The purpose is to coordinate chemical safety, manage product spills, and electrical/battery disposal while restricting hazardous items from being sold or returned to the platform. Working with applications like Austin and DPT (Damage Processing Tools) to properly dispose of waste without any chemical/electrical reaction that can put the warehouse at high risk.
