- Receive 9-11 and non-emergency calls and dispatch to appropriate units.
- Manage multiple communication channels simultaneously, including telephone calls, radio traffic, and CAD (computer-aided dispatch) system.
- Accurately relay information to responding units.
- Maintain high levels of situation awareness during emergencies,
- Handle challenging callers while remaining professional and empathetic notwithstanding their panic and distress during emergencies.
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers with medical emergencies until responding units arrive on scene
- Run criminal record checks, drivers license & vehicle plate numbers for officers, sending and receiving “hit” confirmations, requests through LEADS.
- Entry and or withdrawal of warrants and TPO's. All other entries such as missing persons, vehicles, guns, and other article.
- Relay latest information to first responders via electronic means, telephone calls, and radio responses.
