Throughout my career with Birmingham City Schools, I have served as an Early Childhood Educator teaching Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 2nd grade. My background includes differentiated instruction, literacy intervention strategies, and technology integration as a school Technology Coordinator. These experiences have strengthened my ability to support both students and instructional staff effectively.
While serving as the aftercare Director I exemplified leadership, team management, organization, multitasking and conflict resolution skills.
In my role with STAIR, I assist in managing tutorial site operations, support tutors with intervention strategies for struggling readers, track student progress, and help ensure program quality. I work closely with families and staff to create a structured, supportive environment where students can thrive academically. Additionally, my experience administering the ACT at Miles College demonstrates my ability to manage assessments with accuracy and professionalism.
I hold an Education Specialist degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where I was honored as the Outstanding Ed.S. Student in Early Childhood Education. My training, including LETRS and Apple Teacher Certification, equips me with both the instructional knowledge and technological skills necessary to enhance tutoring programs in today’s learning environments.
