Supervise the inmates and maintain the security and the safety of the jail. That includes accepting and processing new commits. Conducting pat downs, searches, scanning them to make sure they don't have anything hidden in their body cavities, obtaining personal information, running a LEADs (Law Enforcement Data System) background check to checking for and warrants nationwide, and dressing them in.
Once processed into the jail the inmates are then transferred to medical to get clearance then from there they are taken to pods where they be housed until they go to court, pay their bond to be released or transferred out. Once they have a court date we escorting them handcuffed into the court to go in front of the judge. If they are in trial they are handcuffed and escorted back and forth until the end of their trial.
Once sentenced then they are transferred to the prison intake center. If a fight breaks out or an inmate becomes combative then a use of force is necessary and the inmate can be placed in a form of restraints, possibly the restraint chair. Anytime any type of force is demonstrated a direct force report must be filled out.

Maintaining order within the prison includes inmate as well as staff safety, security within the prison. Supervise the inmates on their day to day activities inside the prison and in the yard. Ensure that facility regulations are being followed to ensure everyone remains safe.
Level 4 prison houses some of the most dangerous inmates. Some are doing life and some are on death row waiting for their execution date. This facility is a 23/1 meaning majority of the inmates were locked down 23 hours out of day and out 1 hour to shower and recreation.
No inmate is escorted without being in some form of restraints. All inmates as well as civilians who visit the prison are escorted throughout the jail. Conduct head counts, security checks, documents any incidents that would occur within the prison.
As well as responding to any emergency within the prison.
