To whom it may concern:
I am a dedicated, empathetic, highly motivated, and passionate clinical professional. I have an abiding interest in working in a patient-centered environment where care is most readily realized. Therefore, securing training for a position as a Medical Assistant would be a great step toward realizing this aspiration.
Overall, I possess over 15 years of experience working with patients in clinics and hospital settings. I was trained as a cardiac rehabilitation physiologist as well as sleep technician directly caring for patients for a variety of health conditions in intense settings.
I am also experienced with hiring and training clinical staff in the proper conduct of clinical procedures including phlebotomy, monitoring patient safety and flow, as well as obtaining and interpreting vital signs (EKG application & interpretation, vitals, SAO2). I am eager to translate these skills to a Medical Assistant role through the above-mentioned training program at MGB. In short, I interact fluently and compassionately with patients, co-workers, and clinicians.
My recent positions have been medical writing in support of clinical care. I believe my writing and operational experiences are “added-value” to my candidacy as they have afforded me an appreciation that excellent patient care is paramount to exceptional clinical outcomes.
I have enjoyed my experiences. I am certain that my professional experiences are transferable and are firmly in line with the program objectives. Therefore, with humility, I hope that you will look favorably upon my candidacy for the position of Medical Assistant (Trainee).
Sincerely,
David W. Rimmer
