Dawit Ayele

I’m a passionate and driven full-stack web developer with a strong foundation in both front-end and back-end technologies. Currently, I’m honing my skills at Hack The Gap’s Full Stack Development Bootcamp, where I’m gaining hands-on experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and MongoDB. My journey into tech was fueled by a desire to solve real-world problems through technology, and I’ve had the opportunity to apply these skills in personal projects and collaborate with others on development challenges.

Before diving into web development, I worked as an RD&E Intern Engineer at Ecolab, where I gained valuable experience in optimizing systems, automating processes, and improving operational efficiency. I’ve also worked as a Transportation Specialist, where I developed strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, ensuring safety and punctuality in a fast-paced environment.

Outside of my technical work, I’m deeply involved in my community, serving as a Deacon and Teacher at the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. This role allows me to mentor, lead, and inspire others, further enhancing my leadership and communication abilities.

I have professional experience as an RD&E Intern Engineer at Ecolab, where I optimized testing processes by wiring custom electrical enclosures and automating testing with PLC programs, improving efficiency by 30%. I also worked as a Transportation Specialist at Universal Transit, ensuring safe and timely transportation for students, managing schedules, and maintaining strong relationships with parents and students. These roles helped me develop problem-solving, technical, and organizational skills, all of which I continue to apply in my web development projects.

I am currently completing the Full Stack Development Bootcamp at Hack The Gap, where I am gaining hands-on experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and MongoDB. The program has equipped me with the skills to develop responsive web applications, collaborate on group projects, and implement industry best practices in coding, security, and version control using Git/GitHub. Additionally, I have earned certifications in areas such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git, and React, further enhancing my expertise in web development.
