Seeking part-time employment that offers opportunities for dedicated, responsible, and compassionate service and support in my local community as I continue a professional career as a dance educator. After over 25 years working in the field of education in the creative and performing arts, I am eager to include my other passion: the wellness and attention to the body and mind - both human and animal alike. Having been diagnosed and successfully treated for Stage 3 breast cancer in 2019, my interest in holistic healing and the incorporation of eclectic methods of self-care, together with my love of animals and the healing they can bring to humans, has transformed my life perspective, fueling a similar shift in my career trajectory.
I believe that my own health experiences, both as a patient and care-team member for my father, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2018, have greatly informed my desire to work within an industry that supports and encourages one with the motivation, education, empathy, and desire to effectively and compassionately connect with clients seeking an environment of mindful relaxation and intentionality of personal wellness for oneself and others. I feel that my extensive professional experience working within dance and health education, operations, administration, and customer service would make me a valuable asset to your team.
