I am currently piloting the esthetician program for the Kiehl's flagship store. I am responsible for providing insight and shaping policy for future spas. This position as Esthetician includes providing an in-depth skin analysis using high-definition technology l with the Derma-Reader and Healthy skin assessment tool.
These tools detect imperfections and diagnose the skin accordingly. Skin concerns and diagnose include but are not limited to Rosacea, UV Damage and pore congestion. After, the in-depth skin analysis and all pre work up questionnaires and documents signed client is then taking into the treatment room to begin facial services.
Currently we use High frequency, Galvanic and Steamer. On occasions we use the galvanic machine to help soften the pores prior to extractions.

This position Includes assisting dermatologists during several procedures such as comedones extractions, preparing and assisting during biopsies of the skin and moles, conducting patch tests, preparing patients for micro-needling procedures, injecting biologics and much more. In addition, I would prepare each room for what was needed. For example, if a female patient was coming in for an Accutane follow-up, I would prepare the pregnancy test and blood work documents.
During this pandemic I would take extra steps after every patient to ensure the rooms were cleaned and fully stocked. In addition, I would create encounters notifying the front desk task whether a patient's injection or biopsy results were in. In addition, I would perform clear and brilliant laser treatment, and hydra-facial on patients.
Also, I would either assist or perform chemical peels on patients and discuss after care post each procedure. This job entailed a versatility to understand dermatology from every angle from cosmetics to medical conditions and treatments.

This position includes ophthalmology technician work. This position includes me brining the patient into the exam room where we check their acuity (vision), check their eye pressure which may be associated to eye diseases. Also, we perform several exams to ensure that the patient is healthy.
These exams include OCT (Macular/Nerve), Visual Fields, Fluorescein Angiography Exam, A-B Scan, Compass Photos, and others. We assist the Doctors if needed when doing procedures with injection. I did some front Desk work as well, where I greet patients and check insurance eligibility and accept copays or deductible payments if applicable to the patient.
Medical Assistant at Starrett Podiatry (2017-05 – 2018-04)
This position consists of two different positions: front desk and medical assistant. The Medical assistant duties included writing the intake for the Doctors, prepping the rooms with tools for either routine care, surgical, or special procedures just as toenail avulsions. In addition, I would prep and clean the rooms after each patient.
Also, I would cut the cast, and assist the Doctor in applying a new cast to a patient. I have also applied a soft cast on a patient. We draw blood in the house and take culture as needed.
Podiatry also dispenses in house DME such as ankle brace, crutches and more. The front desk portion included checking in patients, checking eligibility and collecting copayments from patients.
