I am a retired General Motors employee. I worked as a district manager calling on dealerships and working with the fixed operations group which included the parts department and service department. I assisted in locating parts for customers vehicles and work as a liaison between customers that purchase cars and were having issues and the dealership to get the issue resolved.
After retirement one of my large wholesaling dealers ask if I wanted a part-time job at home as a customer service rep for their dealership and I accepted working from home and contacting large wholesaling customers as a liaison for the dealership that I was employed by as an independent contract employee. I retired from that position 4 years ago and have not been employed since.
I described my roles in the section above and will use this section to give a little self background. I achieved my bachelor's degree and had planned to become an elementary school teacher and work receive my lifetime teaching credential in California. After 2 years of teaching, I started a family of my own and soon realized that I would not be a good mother after teaching primary grade children all day long and then coming home to two little boys who needed my attention constantly.
I worked at various office jobs until they were out of high school and then worked for General Motors as it required travel and they were old enough to be on their own. I have been divorced since my 52-year-old son was born and raised both children alone.
Bachelor of Arts degree and lifetime California teaching credential. Both are from University California at San Diego
