As an Order Fulfillment Associate, the main job is to retrieve products throughout the store from shelving and storage locations. After retrieving the products, compile the order in a designated area for customers who have ordered online or called ahead to reserve select products. Also work with delivery orders which require preparing products for transportation, ensuring all orders on a given day are completed and located for transport, cross-referencing delivery data with driver data, proper distribution of orders to drivers, timely retrieval of orders for delivery drivers, and proper situational communication with loading associates and delivery drivers.
Required knowledge base includes store safety regulations and procedures, types of equipment used and functions, general layout of store, and product placement throughout the store.
