- Maintaining records of design as per the institutional requirements and that of the clients
- Developing conceptual layout along with designers based on client information, historical data and experience
- Creating, reviewing & updating 2D & 3D drawings & drafting Isometric & various components, providing technical assistance to members and reviewing work for compliance of customer standards
- Providing sound technical inputs and engineering support to the team from conception to completion stage of the product
- Designing 3D models of new products, generating 2D output and converting 2D drawings into 3D models using AutoCAD software and reviewing drawings to meet customer standards and generating respective reports
- Planning detailed engineering activities and finalizing requirements & specifications in consultation with Engineering & Production Departments
- Scrutinizing engineering drawings and technical specification, updating drawings, calculating BOM and negotiating with suppliers / contractors as per client / project requirements
- Ensuring preparation of preliminary designs and project engineering drawings for field activities
- Checking & verifying designs and ensuring the corrective actions defined by the design review are closed on time
- Ensuring a coordinated approach in all areas with the other engineering activities / disciplines
- Studying the design requirement, scope of work for engineering & reference drawings (if available) to prepare the design criteria and work instructions for creating detail drawings
- Preparing GA for mechanical drawings, layout drawings, detailing of equipment after gathering product specifications
- Creating Complete bill of materials containing all the details for the requirements in the project
- Preparing line size, strength calculation and Insulation BOM for IBR Pipes with Respectives Norms
