I am a junior at West Texas A&M University majoring in general studies. I am expected to graduate in May of 2027. I was an employee at United Supermarket as a cashier, helping customers with their groceries and taking payments from the individuals.
I am currently a student worker at the Buffalo Gold Card Office assisting students and faculty members with a physical ID that allows them to get into their dorms, class courses, and outside activities. AT the Gold Card office we also take payment from students and keeping up with inventory. I am also part of the Women in Business organization on campus, that allows when to understand the business side of a company.
Since November 14, 2023, I have been a student employee at the Buffalo Gold Card Office, and I am still there. In order to give students and faculty members physical ID cards that grant them access to courses, dorm rooms, food supplies, and extracurricular activities, I constantly collaborate with them in this role. Using an instant ID software solution, we must print and laminate every card.
Using the Point-of-Sale system and cash management software, I am able to track transactions and provide daily reports while adhering to the company's strict regulations for handling cash and credit cards, ensuring that no money is wasted, and safeguarding funds. I stay on top of things by confirming the supplies I need, answering emails, answering crucial calls, and helping with maintenance. Our office works well with team members from many departments to create a friendly environment for students who may have questions.
I have developed the ability to operate with various Microsoft Office and sales system applications while working at the Gold Card Office. Any software that may have crashed with our card readers or the food court's systems that enable them to place online orders can be fixed by our office. I have gained knowledge and skills by working at the Gold Card Office, and I am committed to learning more.
I began working as a cashier at United Supermarkets in May of 2023. I would accurately process over 100 cash and credit card transactions each day, maintaining a balanced and error-free register. having the ability to handle incoming funds and precisely determine how much should be sent back to clients. In addition to handling cash, we also handled checks, debit cards, and credit cards when I was employed at United.
In addition, I would monitor inventory and ensure that shelves were adequately stocked. Empathy, active listening, patience, flexibility, and conflict resolution are all greatly enhanced by this role.
I graduated from Ropesville High School in May of 2023 and got my High School diploma. I am a current student at West Texas A&M University getting my bachelor's degree in general studies.
