I am currently the head and 8th grade counselor at McMichael Middle School. Education is something that I have valued ever since I was a kid because I am a strong believer that it is one thing that cannot be taken away from. As a school counselor, I strive to make sure every student's mental, physical and emotional needs are being met so that they can reach their fullest potential and be aware of all of the opportunities that await them.

• Provides confidential individual and group counseling for mental health issues.
• Crisis intervention team to respond to emergencies on campus.
• Oversees At-Risk list of students who are likely to drop out of school. 
• Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon duties. 
• Help 8th graders with transitioning to high school.
