Managed care for all trauma and surgical patients in a 415-bed hospital. Transformed an unrecognised regional trauma programme into an ACS-verified Level I Adult and Level II Paediatric Trauma Center — the first in New York City to earn dual designation.
- 2.5× increase in trauma admissions, from 650 to 1,500 per year, against a Level I requirement of 1,200. Designed a geographic expansion of emergency coverage from demographic analysis of patient intake and worked with the EMS Director to place ambulances strategically in high-traffic areas.
- Performance Improvement Director. Instituted a Level I–compliant PI plan spanning EMS, emergency, floor, ICU, and operating room care: authored protocol libraries for each area, set compliance benchmarks to Level I quality standards, tracked every patient against protocol, ran weekly mortality and morbidity conferences on complications, misdiagnoses, and deaths, led daily morning report with surgical residents, and coordinated the PI transition with directors and attendings across 20+ subspecialties.
- Research Director. Founded the Trauma & Critical Care Research Program, deriving research questions directly from improvement opportunities identified by the PI plan. Trained and mentored 500+ medical students in data collection, analysis, abstract writing, and presentation of 20+ studies at ACCP, ACS, SCCM, and other national and international meetings.
- Residency Education Coordinator. Trained 120+ residents from intern to chief level in general surgical principles, trauma, critical care, and intensive care.
- Medical Outreach Director. Taught 20+ Advanced Trauma Life Support classes; taught trauma principles to attendings and residents in paediatrics, internal medicine, and nursing; presented injury prevention programmes on firearm violence to high schools and on falls to nursing homes.

- Director of Medical Education. Redesigned pre-clinical and clinical clerkships and built the didactic curriculum — lecture series plus scheduled assignments in clinic, ambulatory surgery, multi-specialty operating room cases, day and night floor management, and wound care.
- Managed instruction for 100+ medical students rotating at any time; trained 2,000+ students overall.
- Mentored 1,000+ medical students through data collection, analysis, abstract writing, and presentation of 20+ studies at ACCP, ACS, and SCCM.
- The lecture series — content and examination questions — became the standard at every hospital hosting American University of Antigua students, including Northshore and Johnston.
- The scheduled clinical curriculum was commended by the New York Department of Education as an innovative and comprehensive approach that maximised clinical exposure relative to standard rotation programmes.
- Wyckoff was subsequently selected as a clinical survey site by New York State Education, the Medical Board of California, and the Caribbean Accreditation Authority; helped secure New York, California, and Caribbean accreditation for AUA, Ross University, St. Matthews University, Hope University, and SABA University.
