I am a youth instructor and camp counselor supporting multiple grades in indoor and outdoor spaces. As a student of environmental science at the University of Washington, I am searching to combine my experience in youth development and education with my passion for ecology and the outdoors.
Day camp counselor: I oversee a group of 15 kids full-time while leading daily curriculum, managing games and crafts, and fostering and inclusive environment within a public park. Whether exploring the beach, the woods, or the soccer fields, I ensure campers build connections with nature, camp community, and themselves.
Youth instructor: During the school year, I supervised a group of students in an elementary after-school program. I implemented various art and STEM curricula during activity times, and encouraged a space for students to read, color, or work on homework during literacy times. I also focused on group respect and safety through social emotional learning in a safe classroom setting.
