I have moved to Tennessee to be able to be closer to family after living in Oregon for 8 years.
During my 8 years in Oregon I worked with System Pavers, a regional residential Paver, Deck, and Outdoor Patio Cover installation company that offers a 25 year warranty. I began as a Project Manager before being offered the supplemental position of Branch Warranty Manager. As a Project Manager I was responsible for monitoring our sub-contractors and ensuring they followed our building practices, as well was working with clients as designers making sure their vision came to fruition. As a Warranty Manager I was also responsible for overseeing System Pavers of Oregon branch crew of up to 10+ employees, not only their on-site work but human resource concerns as well.
Manager position also provided me the opportunity for research to learn new building practices that would be passed to the Project Managers making sure we were always ahead of the curve on development and new products. I was also responsible for making sure warranty claims were fulfilled properly, first finding if the claim was valid. I would determine if the warranty needed to be fulfilled by System Pavers, the sub-contractor who did the installation, or if there was a product defect that was the responsibility of the distributor. Once I gathered all the facts I would coordinate with the client and the responsible party to fix the issue.
I was eventually promoted to Construction Manager and oversaw Construction Manager and oversaw all construction activities for the entire branch.
As Construction Manager I was responsible for job approvals, permit acquisition, material ordering, month budget balancing, Project Manager management and onboarding, as well as subcontractor onboarding. I was also responsible for negotiating pay rates with our sub-contractors which I found extremely enjoyable. I enjoyed fostering a relationship of trust with Project Managers and crews that generated the best outcome for System Pavers and our clients.

I received my bachelor's degree in business administration from Adrian College in Michigan.
