Production Manager - Fruge Seafood - Grand Prairie, TX

Managing a crew of 25 that also include a production supervisor, production lead and a receiving supervisor that report to me. I communicate on a day by day basis with account managers, purchasing managers and sales reps about orders placed, inventory or anything that was received. I oversee any approval of PTO, Time Sheets, any purchases or repairs. I am heavily involved in inventory and any customer complaints.

As a production supervisor I would come in 1 hour early before my shift starts to get a pass down and do a walk through with the 1st shift supervisor. I would hold a pre shift meeting to talk about the plan for the shift with my whole team and get them to do there stretches. During the shift I would constantly communicate with my Production Lead and my Machine Operators about any product change, lot # change or any date change.
I would constantly monitor there cycles per hr and insure we are hitting our cycle goals either by moving Team Members to a different line or being hands on and helping the team. I would constantly communicate with my maintenance tech about any potential issues with the machine to minimize down time due to unscheduled maintenance time. Before the end of the shift I would have Team Members cut any leakers or bad product, take out all the trash on the production floor and was the line/ machine if on "My plan for the day".
At the end of the night I would print out the SCADA Report for all the paperwork that was done for each shift, check that all pallets have been written down on there cycle sheet, all there times match with the SCADA Report and all paperwork h
Operations Supervisor - DW Distribution - DeSoto, TX

As an Operations Supervisor I would have pre-shift meetings with my Operations Lead and my Canopy Lead about the Recap from the previous night and to talk about the work load for the day. We would get together to come up with a game plan on how we would be more efficient and Pick and Load the trucks in a timely manner. I would hold a 15 minute pre-shift meeting with the whole team to talk about the recap from the previous night, talk about the amount of work we have for the night, make any adjustments to personnel and have the team do their stretches.
During the shift I would give any support to the team that if it's by moving product to the canopy, helping pull orders, running transaction reports, looking for material, verifying that an order has been picked correctly and checking mislabeled orders. After truck has been loaded and strapped down, I would go out check that all straps, take pictures of the load and printing out manifest for the truck driver and placing it in their bins. At the end of the shift I would check each department for their housekeeping with my Operations Lead and check the doorshop transfer before letting the team go home.

As a production lead I would hold a 15 minute per-shift meeting with the line going over the Production Board and doing our stretches before starting the days work. I would talk to them about the type of day we would be having, going over what 1st shift produced and our nightly target number to keep production on track. I would constantly be feeding the line product to minimize down time and helping any way possible for us to reach our goal.
At the end of the night I would check their housekeeping, turn off all machinery and send the pass down to the 1st shift lead and my supervisor.
