Grew up around a strong support system of people who love helping others. Pursued a degree in nursing and ended up back to my stomping grounds of Boston, MA working at MGH in the CSICU as an RN. Went through their 6 month ICU training experience and eventually got trained in all devices - IABP, VADs, CRRT, and ECMO. Throughout my experience at MGH I have developed critical thinking, problem solving, multidisciplinary collaboration, and above all… outstanding patient care.
Worked at Abiomed as both a Clinical specialist assistant and on the clinical research team for 1 summer while I was in college. With that knowledge, it grew my curiosity and appreciation for the critical care setting in hospitals - specifically within the cardiovascular space. The following 2 years I was a critical care technitian on the CSICU at MGH.
After graduating college, I acquired my RN license and worked on that same floor I was a technitian on. Throughout those years I have grown my knowledge in the cardio-thoracic surgical world and have been trained in CRRT, VADs, IABPs, and ECMO.
Graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in 2023. After graduating, I studied hard and acquired my RN license from the Board of Nursing in Massachusetts. Then I went through 6 months of in-person classes and orientation through the MGH TTP program and on my CSICU floor.
Since being a nurse off orientation, I have gone through extensive training and education to be able to care for patients who require CRRT, IABPs, VADs, and ECMO. Now, I am currently precepting on my floor to students. I continue to grow my education everyday at work with new cases and new patients.
