• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of nurses; communicating entirely with nurse with the objective of the patient's needs and goal of discharging
• Monitors vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, performing basic medical procedures like EKGs
• Records patients input and output of liquid/meals and urine/bowels
• Assists physical therapists with patient's mobility
• Communicates with monitor techs correcting leads for heart monitoring
• Maintains a safe and clean environment for patients

• Assists nurse with providing adjunct care administering enemas, non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths; and applying restraints.
• Maintains patient stability by recording intake and out put information.
• Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor.
• Documenting actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
