Emily Freeman

I am a board-certified, residency-trained medical optometrist with a strong emphasis on glaucoma care. I specialize in early detection, advanced diagnostic testing, and long-term disease management, and I work closely with a glaucoma surgeon to co-manage patients across the full spectrum of care. I also focus on cataract surgery co-management, providing comprehensive pre- and post-operative care.

My approach prioritizes evidence-based treatment, patient education, and individualized care to preserve and protect vision.

My clinical experience is focused on the diagnosis and management of ocular disease, with particular emphasis on glaucoma care and surgical co-management. I work collaboratively with ophthalmic surgeons to provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative care, ensuring continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.

I completed my optometric training at the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry, followed by a residency at the Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center. I am board-certified with the American Board of Optometry and am a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
