I am a board certified neonatologist who cares for critically ill newborns and infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). My special interests and expertise are in the areas of neuromonitoring and neuroprotection for critically ill newborns as well as neurodevelopmental care of long-term NICU patients.
From July 2018 through June 2021, I was an Assistant Adjunct Professor at UCSF and served as an attending neonatologist in the Intensive Care Nursery (ICN) at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in San Francisco. In the ICN, I cared for inborn neonates and outborn infants from referring facilities throughout northern California. In August 2021, I started as an Assistant Professor at UC Davis.
In my role as an attending neonatologist at UCD, I care for inborn and outborn infants in the Level IV NICU at UC Davis Children’s Hospital. I provide a minimum of 11 weeks of inpatient service per year and six weeks plus 30 nights of on-call service. As the on-call attending physician, I facilitate transport of infants from referring facilities and provide telehealth support for hospitals and providers in surrounding areas.
I also currently serve as an attending physician in the Baby Steps (HRIF) clinic at the UCD MIND Institute for approximately 24 clinics per year.
