Accounts Assistant at International Connections Group, Ltd. (2023-05 – Present)
During my time at International Connections Group, I have gained experience in a variety of areas in Accounts. Beginning as a trainee, I initially worked in accounts receivable and accounts payable. Due to the international nature of the business, I have experience in working with multiple currencies. After my first year I was promoted to accounts assistant and have since worked on:

This position was for a customer service role, working for NS&I. My primary role was to help customers with account issues and other problems over the phone for investments and savings accounts. I would help customers recover accounts and access savings, as well as set up new accounts and transfer funds, all while ensuring account security and adhering to GDPR.
In this role I also had to occasionally take complaint calls, where I learnt valuable conflict resolution skills. I found that I enjoyed handling difficult calls the most, as I was consistently able to provide reassurance and end the call on a positive note.

In this fast-paced environment, I had a wide range of responsibilities and would have to switch between roles daily. This included; working on the till serving customers, preparing fresh food in the bakery, store maintenance and cleaning, and stockroom work. I assisted in multiple audits over the years by taking on shifts outside of store hours to count inventory, ensuring accuracy every time.
My main responsibility was working on the till and handling cash, which I took pride in making sure everything balanced during the day-end count. This was my first customer-facing role, and I learnt valuable communicational, time-management and organisational skills during my time here.

My primary roles in this position included; creating digital orders for customers using Adobe Photoshop & other creative tools, order fulfilment & other warehouse responsibilities, as well as working directly with customers to resolve any issues & answer any queries. I also did some work in ecommerce, specifically using platforms such as Etsy & Ebay.
