Warehouse Material Handler at BRALIRWA (2016-05 – 2021-05)
My previous warehouse experience was at BRALIRWA Ltd. where we would start the shift by auditing the incoming trucks, and make sure we note what we found on trucks already to see what more we would need to load on trucks. We would load beverages crates, toilet tissues, garments and detergents. We had the paper works with list of all orders per one truck, you would cross off every unit you just loaded on truck to keep track of what you got next to be loaded, once all orders would be done loaded on trucks, we wrapped up our shift by putting everything left back in their right place.
Since I was a leader of the team, I would train all new hired partners in their try-out days and make sure I read them the rules and walk them through the working routine in order to pick a quick pace that was enough to cover the shift on time Moreover, I oversaw reporting all shortages we had, so they could be covered in the next shift. As conclusion, working in warehouse has been great experience for me and not only because it paid my school fees, but also because I love working in the environment, it has gotten to the point I would be hired in any new warehouse position and feel like home, because I have 5 years and half of experience.
