SNAPSHOT: As a skilled software architect, full-stack developer, and lead programmer with a reputation for writing exceptional code and always finding the best solutions to the most complex problems, I’m the guy you need in a technological fix.
MY DIRECTION: I’m moving forward and eager to use my professional and educational (MS in Mathematics & Operations Research) to springboard into a new career within Information Science. Observing the exponential growth in data over the last decade, I realized there’s a need for individuals who can analyze and navigate it. After taking an extension course on Data Science from the University of Washington, I realized I already have the basic skills needed.
MY INTEREST: I have a personal interest in IS because of the opportunity it presents to take acquired accumulated data and combine it with analysis techniques and expert input to gain further insights and indications. This cycle of data acquisition and analysis combined with expert input creates a feedback loop that empowers the ability to make better decisions and see opportunities that might be otherwise overlooked.
EXPERIENCE & EXPERIMENTS: My experience encompasses working on client-side applications, server-side projects, and AI frameworks and innovations. I have a history of coming up to speed quickly with new technology and have successfully delivered key innovations (see my IBM positions for my recent wins).
I am also experimenting with Raspberry Pi and Arduinos (viewable via GitHub.com/edybdahl) because I hope to contribute to open-source projects.
CONNECT: As an expert in my field and a strong candidate in Information Science, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience to help others. I am available for consultation and guidance on software architecture, full-stack development, and lead programming and also would enjoy connecting with other IS explorers.
