I am a Mathematics teacher with fifteen years of experience in education and a passion for the subject and its applications. I am also an avid hobbyist programmer and musician, and in addition to math I have taught several elective courses in Creative Coding, Electronic Music Production, and Podcasting.
I practice a DIY approach to teaching, creating and constantly refining a collection of materials including worksheets, tests, curriculum guides, and project prompts. In addition, I regularly create web applications to use in the classroom as interactive, gamified problem solving tools and visualizations of mathematical concepts.
I have experience working in a highly collaborative school environment, working with colleagues in the Math department to overhaul and map the curriculum and determine tracks for accelerated placement for students throughout grades K-12.
In addition, I have experience working in high-volume freelancer recruiting and operations in the field of education technology.
