I have been a medical assistant for 19 years and thru out the years I have not only have the experience of back and front office but also have been a coordinator, lead, trainer and have token management positions. I write, read and speak fluent English and Spanish.
Experience
Communicate professionally and accurately about services, payment and appointment scheduling.
Prepare charts, transfer records and enter accurate information into the Electronic Practice Management System.
Contact insurance companies to obtain benefit information to assist with referrals and prior authorization requests.
Screen financial, medical and social history with correct documentation and pertinent information.
Provide direct service in all the health center specific areas including, family planning, abortion, general medicine, pediatrics, sterilization and gender-affirming care as appropriate to scope of services and health centers.
Oversee management of health center medical records in accordance with HIPAA policies and PPMM protocols.
