Daily duties: Pulled plate with overhead crane or forklift that was needed for job, made sure all information would match paperwork (thickness, width, length, and heat number.) Once confirm heat number with MTRs I would load program up, then do a plate alignment. Would do a dry run to ensure program/drawing would fit plate being burned. Do my set up, made sure I had right consumables and amps settings completely do a setup.
I would then burn one part and check if it is within customer specs. Once verified by QC and myself using measuring tapes/micrometer/angel finder/caliper. And document all measurements on 1st article I would continue burning.
Once done burning I would unload parts using overhead crane using plate hooks, plate dogs, or magnets. Cut down all scrap and set in designated area. Staged parts using forklift for further preparation and shipping.
If parts needed beveling, I would set up track torch and burn bevels that were needed per customer drawings. Also help maintain a safe environment and good housekeeping in work area.
