My passion is about making fermentations work better. In order to do so, I mastered culturing techniques and trend-based decision making, along with the data analysis skills needed to discern true correlations. My specialty is providing solutions to problems before they fully manifest.
Through my academic background, I gained expertise in molecular biology, generating animal lines via targeted gene editing, and contributed to product development for a novel Organ-On-Chip platform in a start-up environment. After my transition to the brewing industry, I gained expertise in microbial fermentations from both production and quality standpoints, working under GMP and HACCP standard. Apart from microbiological culturing and relative analysis, I have worked on several projects for the implementation of novel processes, to improve fermentation yields and to identify causes of process deviation.
In those contexts, I also led the definition of corrective and preventative countermeasures, liaising between all relevant departments.
My background is in industrial biotechnology, through which I have obtained a versatile base of knowledge at the interface between physics, chemistry and biology. My particular areas of expertise include molecular biology, fermentation systems and bioinformatics.
