I am a seasoned professional with a Mathematics (MSc) / Petroleum Enginering (PhD) degree who worked 36 years in the Oil business (Shell) and is ready for a new challenge in Education to transfer my vast knowledge and experience.
I have regularly taught and developed training classes and always enjoyed the interactions with young professionals who consistently gave excellent feedback.
I also am a key sportsman with great soccer and golf skills (both currently practicing) as well as intellectual games, in particular Chess.
36 years in Oil & Gas Exploration and Production as Reservoir Engineer at TNO Applied Geoscience. (NL) & Shell (NL & US) - moved from NL to Houston, US in 2005.
Acted in roles as Researcher, Oil Field Development for a Gulf of Mexico Asset , Team Leader (14 staff) of new oil fields in Deepwater Americas, Manager of Oil Reserves Reporting for the whole Americas Deepwater business unit.
Teaching roles included 3 years of worldwide 3-4 day classes in Exploration evaluation & Uncertainty Management, 1 day class of Value Of Information, ½ days class on Offshore Drilling Safety.
Broad experience covering research, development and operations. International experience working across countries and visiting all major continents for business and auditing trips. Experience as individual contributor, team leader, technical authority and manager.
I have always kept my affinity with analytical and numerical techniques and attention to the basics. Great attention to detail.

Acted as Researcher in a National Lab setting delivering around 40 research papers to conferences, resulting in invitations to conference committee and giving a key note lecture during a research summit.
