Registered Nurse with extensive experience providing highly specialized care to critically ill pediatric patients in Cardiac Intensive Care. Driven about combining compassionate patient care, scientific inquiry, education, and service to improve the lives of children and their families. Throughout my academic and professional career, I have sought opportunities to expand my impact beyond the bedside through undergraduate teaching, interdisciplinary research, quality improvement initiatives, and global health service.

As both a clinician and educator, I have developed strong communication, leadership, and mentorship skills while guiding undergraduate students in Biology I lecture and laboratory courses at Florida International University. My experiences in computational research, clinical innovation, and international humanitarian medicine have strengthened my appreciation for evidence-based practice, collaboration, and lifelong learning.

My long-term goal is to become a healthcare professional who integrates clinical excellence, research, education, and compassionate service to improve healthcare outcomes while advocating for patients.

Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care to critically ill neonates, infants, children, and adolescents with complex congenital and acquired cardiovascular disease in a nationally recognized Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Deliver specialized perioperative and postoperative care for patients recovering from congenital heart surgery while collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes and provide compassionate, family-centered care.

Provide highly specialized nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients with complex congenital and acquired cardiovascular disease requiring intensive monitoring and advanced life-support therapies.

• Manage the postoperative care of neonates, infants, children, and adolescents recovering from complex congenital cardiac procedures, including staged single-ventricle palliation and corrective cardiac surgery.
• Care for patients requiring advanced therapies including Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), inhaled nitric oxide therapy, temporary epicardial pacing, invasive mechanical ventilation, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring.
• Perform comprehensive cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, renal, and metabolic assessments to identify subtle physiologic changes and initiate timely, evidence-based interventions.
• Safely administer and titrate high-risk medications including vasoactive infusions, antiarrhythmics, anticoagulants, sedatives, analgesics, insulin infusions, electrolyte replacements, and other critical care therapies.
• Interpret invasive hemodynamic parameters, telemetry, laboratory data, and clinical trends to support complex clinical decision-making and optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in multidisciplinary bedside rounds and collaborate closely with interprofessional team to develop individualized plans of care.
• Respond to medical emergencies, postoperative complications, and rapid clinical deterioration in a high-acuity critical care environment.
• Educate and support patients' families throughout hospitalization by providing compassionate guidance regarding diagnoses, surgical procedures, treatment plans, postoperative recovery, medications, and discharge planning.
• Advocate for patient safety, evidence-based practice, and family-centered care while balancing the complex needs of multiple critically ill pediatric patients.
