Worked on the development of a simulation in the Ebsilon software in conjunction with the lab's SOFC Simulink simulation that would serve as a proof of concept of a nuclear, SOFC and gas turbine hybrid power generation plant. Presented the results alongside PhD candidates at a symposium at the end of the internship.

Summer Internship at NETL (2023-06 – 2023-08)

Research at UTEP (2025-02 – 2025-12)

• Learned & used the SCALE coding language to simulate a ray of neutrons irradiating a nickel plate in with the ultimate goal to simulate a specific nuclear reactor.
• I had to use a block of scale that wasn't in the manual I was given so I used at the time emerging AI tools to understand the language and get proper results in the limited time I had available.
• I also assisted a grad student to translate his python code that dissected data from a spectrometer and gave you a projected half life from linux to windows and then stitched all four parts together to work under a single organized code.

Summer Internship at UNLV (2025-06 – 2025-08)

• I learned & employed Ansys and Comsol to develop a nozzle that would collimate a stream of Argon gas to increase the efficiency of a laser spectrometer.
• Got experience soldering components on a circuit board and cleaning vacuum grade lab components.
