1 year experience as a phlebotomist working in a fast paced hospital and many outreach labs.

Responsibilities including cross training at all outreach labs across CT and inside the Danbury hospital. Phlebs would make morning rounds efficiently and safely to ensure all morning labs were timely drawn for our patients and delivered safely down into the central Lab for processing. Phlebotomist at outreach labs will be responsible for billing, computer work and customer service/front desk in addition to blood draw.

Furthermore, phlebotomists are responsible for their knowledge of tests ordered, order of draw, proper handling and processing/spinning of specimen. Processing samples other than blood/fluid were also included in daily tasks. Ensuring the safety of the patient and quality of the draw is the number one goal of the phlebotomist.

I graduated with a certification in Phlebotomy from Training Direct, CT; with exceptional scores on the NHA exam.
