- Assist the derrick hand and driller on the drill floor.
- Set and pressure test BOP.
- Connect and check all hydraulic lines for any licks.
- Ensure all equipment is clean and operating properly and fill out log sheets and maintenance cards.
- Assist in laying casing into the well after it has been drilled rig up/down equipment.
- Participate in pre-job meetings with the drilling crew for all non-routine drilling operations and safety matters.
