Gerson Sandoval

My name is Gerson and I am an IT Professional. Currently work for Kaiser Permanente as IT Service Desk Specialist and just completed an intensive 6 month Cybersecurity Analyst program with University of California, Riverside. I am very determined to land my first position as an Information Security Analyst or SOC Analyst and currently studying for Security + by CompTIA.

I have experience in IT Technical Support and Service Desk Support. Currently employed by Kaiser Permanente in Corona, CA, providing support for over 250,000 employees. In this role, I provide first and second level support for resolving problems with products and applications, Access requests and remote access support.

Previously, I worked as an IT Technical Support Specialist for the Los Angeles School District, where I used applications like Remedy and ServiceNow Ticketing applications, handled customer complaints, resolved password resets, escalated cyber security tickets, and escalated issues according to procedures.

I have successfully completed Cybersecurity Analyst Bootcamp from the University of Riverside, California, which was a very intensive six months! During the program I completed relevant coursework in Governance and Compliance, NIST, cybercrime investigation techniques, forensic tools and hands on experience using Splunk's SIEM application. I am also knowledgeable in security operations and management principals and will obtain a certification in CompTIA's Security+ mid 2023.
