I am a newly graduated Registered Nurse (BSN, RN) with a strong passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care in the home health setting. My clinical training has prepared me to assess patient needs, administer medications, monitor vital signs, provide wound care, and educate patients and families on managing health conditions safely at home. I am detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to building trusting relationships with patients while promoting comfort, independence, and quality of life. I am eager to grow professionally and contribute positively to a home health care team.
I am a BSN-prepared registered nurse with experience across long-term care, acute care, outpatient specialty care, and community health settings. I previously worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a long-term care facility, providing direct resident care including assistance with activities of daily living, mobility, hygiene, and comfort measures while developing strong communication skills with residents and families.
During my clinical rotations at Hays Medical Center, I provided patient-centered care in medical-surgical, emergency, labor and delivery, perioperative, and community health environments, strengthening my assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
I completed a capstone internship in a specialty nursing unit delivering outpatient nursing care including IV therapies, injections, and wound care while applying evidence-based practice and adapting to patients with complex needs. I also worked as a Medical Assistant at Potter Plastic Surgery and Medspa, assisting with cosmetic and minor surgical procedures, preparing patients for treatments, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting providers to ensure safe, high-quality care. These experiences prepared me to provide compassionate, evidence-based care across diverse patient populations and settings.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fort Hays State University with a GPA of 3.89 and multiple semesters on the Dean’s Honor Roll. I am a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Fort Hays Association of Nursing Students.
My nursing education included extensive clinical training in acute care, surgical, emergency, maternal-child, perioperative, and community health settings, along with coursework in evidence-based practice, pharmacology, pathophysiology, and patient-centered care. I hold an active Kansas Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
