I worked as a grocery clerk at the Santa Clara Fred Meyer where my responsibilities were primarily stocking and conditioning shelves around the food department. I was regularly called as a backup cashier for the front end department. I worked as the front end cashier and self checkout attendant for two years. In my role, I was backup coverage for the customer service desk.

The customer service desk responsibilities are: assisting customers with questions, answering store calls, providing money services, and handling returns.
