Dr. Gunadhar Panigrahi began his medical journey in 1973 at Sambalpur Medical College, India. He won the Pfizer Gold Medal for excellence. His early research studied sickle cell disease in ethnic groups. After his degree, Dr. Panigrahi moved to America, specializing in cardiology and lifestyle medicine. His practice lasted forty years. He saw preventable diseases everywhere, heart disease and diabetes most of all. Western diets alarmed him as processed foods fueled illness.
He learned that lifestyle changes could reverse disease. Plant-based nutrition, exercise, and good sleep led to health. The American Heart Association and Marquis Who’s Who honoured his work. Today, Dr. Gunadhar Panigrahi is teaching the prevention of heart disease and diabetes naturally.
