Haley Chang

Hello! My name is Haley Chang and I am currently taking a break from school to dive into the world of data analytics. I'm enrolled into a bootcamp through University of Oregon. We are learning many programs such as Python, VBA, Excel, Pandas, Jupyter Notebook etc.

All of our projects involve creating data frames and telling a story from the information that was collected. Other than my passion for learning data analytics. I am a huge foodie and traveler. From Indian food, to Mediterranean food, I love it all.

My favorite is when I find a hole in the wall that has incredible food. One of my biggest pet peeves are picky eaters! My family has a small local business, so I am definitely a supporter of small businesses.

I am a very social person and love meeting new people and forming strong healthy connections. I highly value being in a positive environment and I strongly believe that starts with me, I always try to emit positive energy in order to receive it.

I have only ever worked in customer service, specifically the food industry. I have gained a lot of customer service skills such as time management, navigating difficult decisions to satisfy both the business and customers, ensuring a positive experience for those who come in. I have many skills but due to the consistency in the same industry my skills are limited.

I am looking for an internship to teach me professional skills, and I would love to start applying my current knowledge in data analytics to a business as well as expanding my knowledge.

After discovering a course known as BA240, introduction to business analytics, I ventured off into a bootcamp for data analytics. I have some college and credits to my name but I am taking a break as I feel that is best for me at the moment. Planning to continue my academics later on after the bootcamp is finished.

In my bootcamp it is a fast paced course that runs us through many different programs known as Tableau, Excel, Python, SQL, etc. Many of our projects and homework involve cleaning large data sets, picking and pulling useful information, drawing conclusions from the data and turning it into a story.
